I have 2 defragmenters in my PC now: O&O defrag 14 disabled (service off) and mydefrag. But Mydefrag monthly and daily have a problem for me: is very slowwww. The daily script in my C: (150 GB data of 250 GB total) take 1 hour!!
....and my disk (with mydefrag) feels like my system access to disk more time (I hear my hdd more time than with O&O for example). It is better or worse? (or paranoia XXDDD)
O&O defrag is quicker and it is a very good defragmenter. I don't want use my pc every day (or 2-3 days) for defrag, 1 hour for hdd! (and I have 2). But you said in your conclusion that mydefrag optimize very very good and o&o defrag is ok but worse than mydefrag.
I tried SMART DEFRAG BETA but I see your web and I want to know if SD 2.01 is a good defragmenter or not. (better than O&O and mydefrag).
PD: I have script in mydefrag for monthly but ... what is monthly (optimize) VS monthly only? I don't have this script. monthly system disk and monthly data disk only in my MYDEFRAG 4.3.1 x64

OK. I copy your scripts to my SCRIPTS folder.... I have 3 new scripts in mydefrag.
But:
I have a hdd C: with system win 7
I have a hdd D: with pagefile and data
This 2 hdds are system disk? only c:? and....if D: isn't system disk, where are your optimized scripts for data disks?
and...weekly script is better than daily script for gaming pc?

Note that each defragmenter has it's own optimizing strategy. If you run two different defragmenters on one volume they will only shuffle data around without any performance gain. Also note that the MyDefrag Monthly script is very thorough and will move lots of data. I'm going to add another statistic this week that will show the data movement.

These are variables for easier customization of the other three scripts (just take a look inside with notepad). You cannot run this script directly in MyDefrag, the other scripts will use it automatically.

A system disk (from a defragmenters point of view) has the operation system and programs on it. So D: is not a system disk.
There are no optimized Data Disk scripts because there is nothing to optimize. The content and usage of a data disk can be very different, you have to do the optimizing yourself. MyDefrag is called MyDefrag for a reason. ;)

The Monthly is even better. ;) Just run this script once and then the weekly about every week.
